P-element plasmid microinjection

• Injection of 300 embryos.
  

• Three options are available:
  

  • Injection only: we inject and send out G0 larvae. Screening for the transformants must be done by the customer. No re-injection service is offer if no transformant line is obtained.

  • Injection and screening for transformants: we inject, cross G0 survivers and screen for transformants. Standard injection service include visible marker screening (w+, y+). If necessary, a second microinjection is included. Positive lines are crossed and sent. We normally send out between 5 to 10 transformants. Balancing must be done by the customer.

  • Injection and balancing: we inject, cross G0 survivers, screen for transformants and balance the lines. Standard injection service include screening of visible marker (w+, y+). If necessary, a second microinjection is included. Positive lines will be balanced to appropriate balancers. We guarantee at least 5 lines for plasmid at standard size (< 25 kb).

• All positive lines have insertion on 2nd or 3rd chromosome. If X chromosome insertions are expecting, please mention in your injection quote request (an additional $50 will be charged / injection)

• For larger construct (>25 kb), we suggest to order the large plasmid size service to insure an appropriate number of transformants. We will inject 600 embryos.

• We provide helper plasmid delta2-3.

• There is additional charge for fluorescent or vermilion marker screening (see price list).
